An antique necklace, circa 1900, strung as a single row of small creamy pearls — 84 of them GIA-certified as natural saltwater Basra pearls, the remainder cultured, 124 in all. At the front, a pear-shape Colombian emerald of approximately 2 carats — a deep, transparent green — sits within a halo of old-cut diamonds inside a twisted yellow-gold rope frame. Approximately 20 inches long, in 14-karat yellow gold. A rare survival of natural Persian Gulf pearls with a Victorian cluster drop.
Excellent — Little visible wear. Presents close to new.
